At Orthodontic Specialists, we only use the latest state of the art orthodontic technology and offer the most recent in digital impression scanning with our iTero digital scanners.
Additionally, Our ICAT system (Interactive Communication Assistive Training) is a great tool to educate both staff and patients. The ICAT system helps patients to understand and visualize what they can expect during treatment at our practice.
At Orthodontic Specialists, we put on braces one by one instead of sending the set up to a lab to place braces on all at once with a tray. Orthodontics should go beyond merely placing braces on the teeth, and we take pride in the artwork involved in examing the morphology of each tooth to create a great smile. This approach also allows us to create a more natural looking smile for the patient.
Don’t Fall For The “Fast Braces” Claim
Remember, straight-teeth are just the beginning of orthodontics, not the end. You may hear claims of “fast braces,” but the fact of the matter is all orthodontists have “fast braces” as braces should only be on for three to six months. Don’t fall for claims of “fast braces” as after the teeth are straight we must start to work on correcting the bite.
Overall treatment time typically ranges from six months to 2 ½ years, depending on the growth of the patient’s mouth and face and the severity of the problem. Patients grow at different rates and will respond variously to orthodontic treatment, so the proper timing of orthodontic treatment is crucial to minimizing treatment duration.
